GRASSROOT LIVELIHOOD PROJECT-Pananahi Project Concluding Ceremony

The 20-day Basic Sewing Training under the Grassroot Livelihood Project (GLP) was wrapped up through a simple concluding ceremony held at EnzoTech in Calatagan, Batangas on September 11, 2015. A total of 20 graduates, 19 of whom are Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program grantees, have each received a certificate of training completion.

 
Scouts de France visits EZ Museum

Five members of the Scouts de France toured the EZ Museum on July 21, 2015 as coordinated by a Southern Luzon Assoc. of Museums (SLAM) member, whose also the tour coordinator of Taal. The visit was part of the social mission of the scouts to know our culture, our customs and traditions which will open their minds in a spirit of exchange. Empowering the Youth Through  Welding Skills Training

30 out-of-school youth Batangueños from the four towns of Batangas, namely Nasugbu, Lian, Tuy, Calatagan (Vicariate 1) are lucky recipients of a free skills training on Welding course (Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II) at Enrique Zobel Technical Center (ENZOTECH) under the Galing Batangueño Vocational Training Program of Pondong Batangan Community Foundation (PBCFI).

Calatagan’s Museo Enrique Zobel Generating Patrons

Museo Enrique Zobel, built in honor of EZ and home to Zobel family memorabilias and the town’s local artifacts, is consistently attracting more tourist and local residents as well. Students also had a wonderful time touring the museum and learning from cute arts and crafts sessions organized by EZF along with the tour. Last year, a total of 2,812 guests surely have found a wiser and a better option when they travel to Calatagan as the EZ Museum is more than a place of enjoyment but more so a venue for learning.

The Enrique Zobel Techincal Center, a newly-opened, largest vocational and technical institution in Calatagan, Batangas, had its simple blessing earlier today, March 9, 2015. Fr. Rocky Evangelista of Tuloy sa Don Bosco, a consultant of the ENZOTECH, officiated the ceremony, graced by Ms. Dee Zobel, chairman of the E. Zobel Foundation, faculty, students and other guests.

 
FIVE-YEAR ORAL HEALTH CARE PROJECT CULMINATING CEREMONY

The Oral Health Care Project piloted at Jose Caisip Elementary School, in Calatagan, Batangas which started in June 2010 up to March 2015 has just ended and celebrated through a culminating ceremony. A short parade, poster and slogan contest, Love Ko Si Teacher, Healthy Smile Contest of a student and teacher pair, partners messages highlighted the event.
