VSmart is designed for any learning module devices and available for all OS platforms.With the assistance of Vibal representatives headed by Ms. Conie Josue, they facilitated session on how to integrate the Learning Management System on their classes.

Career Awareness and Readiness Program

Zobel Foundation launched the pilot test of Career Awareness and Readiness Program (CARE) in partnership with Edukasyon.ph in 2 public High Schools in Calatagan together with the Vibal Group which provided 200 units of Android tablets in support of Globe Telecom CSR, which donated 40 wifi dongles.

Zobel Foundation participated in a Storytelling Workshop for Adults with Luisito "Kuya Bodjie" Pascua (those who grew up in the ’80s and early ’90s will definitely know “Kuya Bodjie,” the affable character on the children’s TV show, “Batibot.”) Packed in as much as possible in almost a day, he left with loads of inspirational experiences. He keeps on associating storytelling with being there for one’s children and feeling their presence.

NUTRITION MONTH this year announces the theme, "First 1000 Days ni baby pahalagahan para sa malusog na kinabukasan.” E. Zobel Foundation has been actively participating in nutrition month activities for the past few years. Here in Calatagan, we have this Complementary Food aptly called SIGLA. The E. Zobel Foundation mobilized its welding and electrical trainees together with the EZ Foundation and Tom Layng’s Scholars to take part in this year’s Brigada Eskwela. Over the last two days, almost a hundred students and their parents volunteered and took turn to help in the various repair and repainting works, clean up of classrooms and in the school grounds beautification. The ENZOTECH trainees checked the electrical installation in every classroom, changed starters and bulbs if needed - to ensure that the rooms are properly lighted. On the other hand, the other trainees also did minor welding repairs on broken steel window and door frames.

EZF’s Educational Assistance Program is conceptualized to help its employees to augment the budget for education. Before the class begins, EZF initiated the holding of the Annual General Assembly. This served as a venue for both parents and scholars to fully understand the revised rules and policies of the program.

EZF established a community-based livelihood project and worked with financially-challenged, and empowered women in Barangay Real, Calatagan who now produced complementary and snack foods for the malnourished children, particularly in Calatagan and its neighboring communities. As it promotes and supports various community and school programs envisioned to improve the quality of public education including the enhancement of nutritional status of the schoolchildren.

With the aim of bringing a clearer understanding on Tom Layng Scholarship Assitance Program, EZF initiated the holding of the Annual General Assembly of TLSAP scholars. This was held yesterday, May 5, 2016 at E. Zobel Office. The three-hour assembly provided clarification, discussion and a close interaction among the members of the Scholarship Committee, the scholars and their parents.

Some of the parents have turned optimistic after attending the series of parents’ classes. Senior Citizens Assistance Program

One of the most vulnerable sectors in the community is the elderly or the senior citizens. Although, the government is exerting efforts to provide them due benefits and privileges, the support is not enough to meet their basic needs. Various assistance to improve their social and economic conditions are necessary in order to enhance their productivity and make their lives more meaningful.

The SINING TANGLAW is a newly formed artist’s group initiated by 21 young but evolving local artists from Calatagan, Batangas. Its members are composed of 19 students and out-of-school youths and two (2) high school teachers who all went through the basic and advanced painting lessons during the 2015 Summer Art Workshop under the tutelage of Pintor Kulapol, a Tuy-based organization of professional artists.

The ENZOTECH and Keppel Philippines, Inc. / Keppel Batangas Shipyard signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the latter to provide apprenticeship opportunities to ENZOTECH graduates. The partnership will provide students with more knowledge and working experience at the shipyard which will eventually offer working opportunities to students in the offshore and marine industry. ENZOTECH will provide the shortlist of its best students on Shielded Metal Arc Welding to the apprenticeship training.

Gynecological / Pap Smear Mission

E. Zobel Foundation, Inc. in partnership with Phi Lambda Delta (premiere sorority in the UP College of Medicine) and Ugnayan ng Pahinungod conducted a Gynecological/Pap Smear Mission last February 27, 2016 at the E. Zobel Foundation Clinic. The mission activities and services include public health lectures on cervical cancer, proper self-breast examination and cervical screening. This event not only raises awareness and promotes feminine hygiene, but also erases the fear and stigma of many women in seeking cervical screenings.

Project Environmental Awareness Campaign entitled Environmental Ethics: Key to Coastal Ecosystem Conservation Seminar last February 20 2016 at the Enrique Zobel Technical Center, Calatagan, Batangas.
