Date: July 19, 2019

Today, we had the honor of meeting (almost) all of the principals / school heads, guidance coordinators and junior high school chief advisers of District 1 to talk about the Career Awareness and Readiness (CARE) Program of the Foundation and DepEd. The CARE Program was launched in 2016. The Program was designed to support the Senior High School Program of the Department of Education. The main objectives of the program are: (a) to engage education stakeholders to raise student awareness and encourage them to aspire for the best higher education pathway and (b) equip students with the capability to make informed career decisions and expose them to relevant employment opportunities. Aside from the initial Impact Sharing Session happened today, the Foundation will be providing or sharing to public high school teachers Career Guidance and Counseling Instructional Modules, which was drafted though the help of EdukasyonPh and Career Development Association of the Philippines (CDAP). The modules will serve as the teachers' basic instructional material to guide the students in choosing their respective courses or best career options. Follow-up school visitations will be conducted to assist the teachers in implementing the CARE and to further support the teachers and students. Student focused group career counseling sessions will also be conducted in every area.
